For over twenty years, our attorneys have helped individuals and growing businesses resolve complex legal problems both in and out of the courtroom.
In the Courtroom – Many of the cases we are asked to handle (frequently by other lawyers) involve financial and accounting fraud, complex securities litigation, municipal bond defaults, price-fixing, unfair competition, covenants not to compete, sales of closely held businesses, business disputes, commercial transactions and consumer fraud. We represent both individuals and businesses, whether plaintiffs or defendants, in state and federal court, in class actions, individual litigation and in arbitration proceedings.
In the Boardroom - Our extensive litigation experience enables us to help clients avoid litigation when they retain us in connection with business formations or commercial transactions. We have litigated many cases for clients who could have avoided the courtroom had they hired a capable business attorney to counsel them with respect to the formation of their business or to properly handle their business transaction. That experience guides our business formation and transaction practice to help clients avoid unnecessary disputes that may lead to costly litigation.

Our lawyers have been involved in more than 50 reported decisions handed down by federal and state courts across the country all the way to the United States Supreme Court. Both we and our clients have testified on several occasions before the U.S. Senate Banking Committee and have been invited to speak at seminars across the nation. We have an “AV” peer-review rating (the highest awarded) from Martindale-Hubbell, and are listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers under the heading, “Civil Trial Practice.” We also have been selected for membership in the International Network of Boutique Law Firms, an organization of highly credentialed boutique law firms around the world. Wherever your business takes you, we have the resources to advise and represent you.
All our attorneys have exceptional academic backgrounds. Each was a member of the editorial board of a Law Review or similar legal periodical during law school. Three of our lawyers clerked for federal judges and another clerked for an Alabama Supreme Court justice. All have taught seminars for other attorneys and write articles for professional publications. We all stay up-to-date with trends both in our practice areas and in our clients’ industries.
